Kylie Jenner wears a $50 million Fantasy Bra as Victoria’s Secret revives the tradition

Kylie Jenner made a surprise debut at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Los Angeles on Sunday, wearing the first Fantasy Bra to appear on the brand’s runway since 2018. The piece, made by the jeweller Jacob & Co., is valued at $50 million, about $35 million more than any earlier Fantasy Bra. It holds 4,410 natural diamonds set around a 75.54-carat yellow diamond, took 15 craftspeople more than 1,000 hours to make and weighs just under four pounds.

Jenner, 29, the reality television star and founder of Kylie Cosmetics, walked in a sheer mini skirt and white feathered wings, with her partner Timothée Chalamet and her mother, Kris Jenner, in the audience. Adam Selman, the brand’s chief creative officer, said the bra had been one of the features fans requested most after last year’s show, and called Jenner a “cultural powerhouse”. Jacob Arabo of Jacob & Co. said the piece used no fabric, only gold and diamonds, and was built to her exact measurements.

The Fantasy Bra tradition began in 1996, when Claudia Schiffer wore a $1 million design in a print advertisement. Heidi Klum modelled a $10 million version in 1999, and Gisele Bündchen wore a $15 million red design in 2000 that remained the most expensive until this year. The last one, worn by Elsa Hosk in 2018, came just before the show took a five-year break. The event returned in 2024, but neither that show nor last year’s featured a Fantasy Bra.

Woman alleges at Russell Brand’s trial that he raped her at a London bar in 2004

A woman has told the rape trial of Russell Brand at Southwark Crown Court that the comedian grabbed her within a minute of meeting her at a birthday party in a bar in Soho, London, in 2004, then pulled her into the toilets and orally raped her. In a 2023 police interview played to the jury on Monday, the woman, who worked for MTV at the time, said they had been talking about his work presenting a Big Brother spin-off show.

The woman, the third complainant the jury has heard from and the second to allege rape, said she closed her eyes during the attack and that afterwards Brand suggested they swap phone numbers as if nothing had happened. She said media reports about him in 2023 led her to go to police. In cross-examination, his barrister, Ian Winter KC, suggested she had gone to the toilets with Brand happily, which she rejected. Brand, 51, denies all the charges and has pleaded not guilty.

Brand faces seven charges, three of rape, three of sexual assault and one of indecent assault, involving six women and alleged offences between 1999 and 2009. The trial opened last week, when the prosecutor, Riel Karmy-Jones KC, told jurors that the women had come forward separately and did not know one another. Brand became famous in the early 2000s on television and radio, appeared in films such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and has since moved to Florida. The trial is expected to last at least six weeks.

The Simpsons gives Apu a new voice after almost a decade of silence

Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, the shopkeeper in The Simpsons, spoke on the show on Sunday for the first time since October 2017, voiced by a new actor, Sunil Malhotra. The India-born actor, who grew up in the United States, made his debut in an episode titled Treehouse of Horror Presents: The Revengening. His casting was kept secret, with no advance copies for reviewers and non-disclosure agreements at the table read. Janina Gavankar, of The Morning Show, now voices Apu’s wife, Manjula.

Malhotra said on Instagram that bringing the character back felt like “a reclamation” and a homecoming. He has said the audition call made his stomach sink, but that he was curious whether the writers could bring Apu back in a way that acknowledged past mistakes, and he met the showrunner, Matt Selman, before accepting. Selman said Apu and his family would now appear more often, and that the team had wanted to let the character evolve in a way that suited the show.

Hank Azaria, a white actor, voiced Apu with a heavy Indian accent from the show’s early years. In 2017 the comedian Hari Kondabolu made a documentary, The Problem With Apu, arguing that the character rested on racial stereotypes, and the show responded in an episode the following year, which some viewers found insufficient. Azaria said in January 2020 that he would stop voicing Apu and later apologised for his part in the portrayal. Since then the character had appeared on screen without speaking.

Bon Jovi extend the Forever Tour with seven concerts in 2027

Bon Jovi have announced seven concerts for 2027, taking the Forever Tour into another year. The run opens on 4 March at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne and moves to Accor Stadium in Sydney on 11 March, then to Hyde Park in London on 24 June. North American dates follow at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Soldier Field in Chicago and Gillette Stadium near Boston, before the tour closes on 4 August at Rogers Stadium in Toronto.

Jon Bon Jovi said the tour had been a celebration of the band’s music and of fans who had followed them for years, and that they would now take it around the world with more cities and countries. For the North American concerts, an artist presale opens on 28 October, before general sales start on 30 October. In Australia, general tickets for the Sydney date go on sale on 23 October, and it will be the band’s first concert in the city in more than eight years.

The Forever Tour takes its name from Forever, the band’s 16th studio album, released in 2024 and revisited in 2025 in an expanded edition with guests including Bruce Springsteen and Jason Isbell. This year’s dates began with nine concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York in July and ended in September with three nights at Wembley Stadium in London, after sold-out shows in Edinburgh and Dublin. The band’s previous stadium tour of Australia, in 2018, drew more than 159,000 people.

Cindy Crawford’s family pays tribute to her son Presley Gerber, who died at 27

Cindy Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber, have said they are “beyond heartbroken” over the death of their son, Presley Gerber, who died at a rehabilitation facility in California on 20 September, aged 27. In a statement on Instagram on Sunday, signed with their daughter, Kaia, they described him as a sweet and beautiful soul and said they were proud of the kindness and vulnerability he showed. They also thanked people, including strangers, for their support.

Kaia Gerber, also a model, shared a letter to her brother alongside photographs and videos of the two of them, writing that being his sister was her favourite thing about herself and describing him as inherently good. The cause of death has not been made public. Police have said the death is being investigated as a suspected overdose and that there is no sign of foul play, and the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner lists the case as pending further investigation.

Presley Gerber signed with IMG Models at 15 and made his catwalk debut for Moschino at 16, later working for brands including Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein. In 2018 he appeared with his mother in a Pepsi advertisement shown during the Super Bowl. He spoke openly about depression, substance use and his mental health, and posted a series of videos he called Mental Health Mondays. His father co-founded the Casamigos tequila brand with the actor George Clooney.
